Cooroy Masters Pennants Team has great win (Men)

The Cooroy Masters Pennants Team travelled to Gympie on Sunday to compete against the strongly fancied Nambour team that were running a close third on the competition table and hoping to get into that favored second spot.  Unfortunately they forgot to tell the Cooroy Boys that they were about to become the next victim.

First to tee off was Bob the Builder Dale Boy who had a smashing win over his more fancied opponent knocking him out in the 18th.

Graeme Finn won his match 2up and the Cooroy Terrier Andy White put his much favored opponent to the sword with a 3 & 2 win.

Ray and Kelvin both went down with just the slightest margins separating them.

Our No.2 and Captain Grathan Leatherbarrow, supported by his caddy for the day in Rob Wode had a match that went down to the wire with a fight-back on 17 and 18 for a squared match.

Our No.1 player Quazie moto Shanker Shane Scanlan overcame the hump in his back to outclass his No.1 opponent with a 2up victory.

What a great feeling it was for all the members of the Masters Team to defeat such highly fancied opponents.

Hopefully there are more good results to come.
