Resignation of Wayne Patston

As some of you would be aware, and for those who are not aware, our Club Manager, Wayne Patston, tendered his resignation from Cooroy Golf Club on Friday 16th February.

Wayne has held the position of Club Manager at Cooroy for 20 years, commencing his employment on 16th February 2004.  Cooroy Golf Club was a 9-hole Golf Course in 2004 when Wayne started his association with the Club and has grown to be the great club that it is today with over 400 members, playing on an 18-hole course.  Wayne has witnessed many changes during the 20 years and his dedication to the club and our members has come from his heart and has been a constant over this time.  New members have been welcomed with his infectious smile and banter and his ability to remember every member’s name, no matter how new to the club.

The growth of Cooroy Golf Club has in some ways been a credit to Wayne’s ability to attract new members, sponsorship and social players, many of those returning year after year because of his friendly and accommodating nature.

Wayne will officially finish his employment on Friday 15th March, however, due to approved holidays, his last actual working day will be Wednesday 21st February.

We wish Wayne all the best in his new employment ventures and future endeavours and would like to thank him for the enormous contribution that he has made to Cooroy Golf Club and the lives of our members during the past 20 years.  Thank you Wayne and we hope to see you playing golf on our course in the future.
