Don’t get complacent, just because the colder weather is here doesn’t mean that the Joe Blakes are not about.  Our group spotted a nice sized Brown whilst playing the 12^th hole on Wednesday.

Don’t forget our Working Bee on the 9^th of July. If you have one, please bring a utility or trailer as duties will include a big stick clean up.  Normal meeting place (The Green keepers Shed) at 7:00am – light duties only, followed by coffee and cake in the club at approximately 10:30am.

Well done to Bob Noble for his 75 off the stick on Wednesday.  A great round, and Bob also picked up the “Captains Choice” prize for NTP, 2^nd shot on the 1^st hole.

Welcome to new members Peter Piggott and Tony Bernhagen.  Both Peter and Tony have had some immediate success with Peter taking out a NTP on Wednesday and Tony was part of the runner-up team in our 4 Man Ambrose Event on 26^th June 2013.

Weather report from Peter Smith wandering the Northern Territory – warm, dry sunny days with pleasantly cool mornings.  Enjoy your golf.

Andrew Dick and wife Gabi somewhere in France enjoying great cheap wine (on average 5 euro’s for great reds) and excellent cheese – rain again today but tipped to get fine.

And some advice from former Vet ‘Flash’ Flanagan after a recent rained off Wednesday – you should move slightly north, I’ve been away for 2 months and only had rain for 3 days. At the moment in Bargara, great golf course great weather.

Well done Paddy Knapp who must have been very excited (or frustrated) to see his ball fall about 150mm short of a hole in one on the 12^th.

Graham Laing and team had a short lived celebration as their card appeared to be a winning score.   Closer scrutiny found their handicaps had been divided by 6 and not 8.   Unfortunately for them this put them way out of contention.
