CAPTAIN’s CORNER
We were treated to a perfect day for our Host Day at Peregian Springs. Their course was in A1 condition, and our best player was Les Grimsditch with 39 points.
It was nice to have our guest of honor “Marty” make an appearance for our compulsory free hamburger and drink at “Marty’s Hut”. Once again Jim Henderson and Rod Harper did a great job with the organizing and cooking.
The 2 Man Ambrose featured some very good scores. The best of them came from early players John Stewart & Col Easton who shot 3 birdies on the back 9 to finish with a nett 59½. Next best was Graeme Finn & Laurie Staples with 61, and in 3rd place were Mike Smith & Andrew Dick with 61½.
We welcome new member Michael Loe for his 1st game with the Vets. If you see Michael make sure you say hello and make him feel welcome.
Next Wednesday is our June Monthly Medal. If you recall we had to cancel April’s Monthly Medal due to wet weather. The April Monthly Medal will now be played on MONDAY the 15th of June and it will be an 8.00 am shotgun start. The sheet will go out next week.
