9hole Ladies had a great turnout for their Stroke and Putts Competition on September 17th.  24 ladies enjoyed the sunshine and immaculate course.

The winner of the Stroke Competition was Glenys Bisset with a total of 32 strokes.  Well done Glenys.  If that was a mediocre game then we will all look forward to seeing you at your best. Toni Mason also excelled with 34 strokes and Lorraine Kelly was 3rd with 36 strokes.

Great to see Terri Cairns join the 9-hole Ladies while enjoying a quick visit from W.A.  Also a warm welcome to relative newcomer Diana Edwards.

Sandra Clemow won the putting competition with 13 putts and the lady that isn’t playing her best Glenys Bisset took 2nd place.

September 24th is Vets Invite to the 9-hole Ladies and they will be playing a 4-person Ambrose so get in quick if you wish to play. Morning tea is provided and there are great prizes to be won.

October 1st is also an Ambrose 2-person Championship and is played over 2 weeks.  18-hole Ladies are welcome but must have played 5 games previously with the 9 hole Ladies.

The club’s Tee Up for Cancer Pink Day will be held on Oct 17th.  Everyone is welcome from social players to all men and ladies.  Let’s make it a day to remember as many have been touched by cancer within the club so it would be fantastic to raise money for the cause and have fun while doing so.

  • Best value for money golf course on the Sunshine Coast. A really fun course layout, forces you to use multiple clubs off tees And have good course management. The grains are in great condition and are really receptive

  • Fantastic golf course! Really well setup with signage, sand buckets, and ball cleaners on most tees. This course is designed for playing 1-18 consecutively rather than stopping midway. A ‘grip it and rip it’ mindset will lead to disappointment as there are many hidden hazards (yes I speak from experience!). Some of the fairways are deceptively narrow or have huge swathes of flanking rough hard to see from a distance. Lots of variety! Long par 5s to short par 3s and everything in between. Take care when walking between tees as its easy for first timers to get disoriented. At just $40 I felt it was great value and would definitely go back.

  • Great place to play golf. Course is a good challenge for all HC’s. Very picturesque, but if you walk it the last couple of holes uphill might get you. Very limited parking. Worth a look.
