Doug Pearce played his last game of Vets golf on Wednesday due to a long-term injury. Doug has been a great vet’s member whose efforts as a Tuesday volunteer to the CGC has been exceptional.
Best of luck for the future Doug.
A field of 101 contested our Single Stableford off the BLUE tees with the lower grades finding the going tough. A-Grade players Mike Kent 40 and Dave Wippell 39 enjoyed the longer course. We
had 5 major prizes in each of the 3 grades.
The PACE of PLAY stats will be displayed on the whiteboard next week so the players causing the problem can see how this affects the whole field. The 1 st group out finished in exactly 4.00 hours whilst the slowest group took 5:10 which is not good enough. Slow groups need to work out ways of improving their times.
The “BACK NINE” competition with the best score in each grade receiving a prize went to:
A-Grade: Mike Kent 21.
B-Grade: Grant Smallacombe 20.
C-Grade: Geoff Cowan 18.
