From The Shed – Major Projects Update as at 20th November 2013

VETS FUNDED PROJECTS

Thanks to The Vets donating funding we will be commencing some more drainage and path work over the next few weeks.

The key target area is the 17th fairway just in front of the ladies tee.  This area can get extremely wet and boggy at times.  Just under 100m of Ag drainage will be installed in the wettest areas and a large storm-water drain will be put in on the left hand side with a road base path going over it to provide better access and less wear to the 17th fairway.  This work will be beginning early next week weather permitting.

Also hopefully beginning next week will be a concrete path up the hill on the right of the 9th green which will turn into a road base path on the top of the hill and carry on behind the green through the lilly pilly trees and out to the 10th tee. This will take wear away from the left hand side of the green and provide better all weather access.

In coming weeks, weather/time permitting we will also begin some drainage work on the 4th fairway, close to the green as that area is also quite boggy at times.

Once again thank you to The Vets for donating money towards these projects, the more drainage we can get in the ground the better prepared for the big wet we will be!
