CAPTAIN’s CORNER
Another fine week of golf with 2 games played. Caloundra visited us on Monday & our stand out player with 44points was Ray Glover.
“The Bush Boy’s x 15” who consist of the following: Bruce Wilshire, Peter Reilly, Kerry Martin, Phil Mason, Jon Sendall, Jim Prendergast, Paddy Knapp, Jim Gregg, John Quodling, Gary Sheales, Bill Galvin, John Kelly, Glen Johnstone, John McNamara, & Tom Murphy, were our very generous sponsors for Wednesday’s Stableford competition. We enjoy great support from this group and when you consider that John Quodling and Garry Sheales are no longer regular players, their involvement is quite outstanding.
It was also great to see that two of the “Bush Boy’s x 15” feature amongst our winners. Tom Murphy returned the best score of the day with 46 points and Paddy Knapp was runner/up in B-Grade with 38.
Coming up soon, on Tuesday the 3rd of May is our invitation day at Caboolture. The sheet for this game will be on our pin up board at the club. It will be an 8.30 shotgun start, entry fee is $13, cart hire is $30 and these can be booked by calling their pro shop on 54951033.
Also coming up in May are host days at Peregian Springs and Nambour. Nomination for these two games will be available soon via an on-line Nomination Form. You will receive details from Rod Booth shortly on how to go about nominating for these games.
Finally, next Wednesday is our Anzac Day 4 Man Ambrose that is sponsored by the Cooroy RSL sub branch. It is an 8.00 am shotgun start and there will be a “FREE” sausage sizzle at completion of play.
