CAPTAIN CORNER for 25th February 2015
Another great day for golf on Wednesday, and we had a total of 73 players taking part. The sausage sizzle was well received & a great effort by Jim Prendergast & his helpers in Ian Mulhall, Andrew Dick & Rod Booth. It must have been a bit nostalgic for Jim, he knows the BBQ very well, as he had previously donated it to the Vets.
A very good performance by Kevin Olsen to take out the A-Grade and come in with the best score for the day of 45 points. I have been told not to mention the A-Grade SERIAL RUNNER-UP, so I won’t, but hopefully he feels better about it when he sees that I also was a Runner-up in B-Grade. Please Note: Next weeks Monthly Medal is a timed start and not the usual shotgun start.
In future could all players arrive at the club at least30 minutes before they tee off as it is inconsiderate to make other players & our starters hang on till the last minute wondering where you may have got to.
Finally we wish Steve & Val the best of luck in their move to Hervey Bay, and “thanks again Steve for all you have done for the club”.
