CAPTAIN’s CORNER
Thank you Mike Miklenda for your sponsorship of Wednesday’s 2 Man Ambrose event. Also thanks to Ashley Riedel who donated 2 sleeves of top quality golf balls for Mike’s day.
The event was played in what is called sixes; the idea was put to me by Kerry Martin and added a bit of variety to what we normally do. If anyone has any other good ideas, I am always ready to listen.
Our winners obviously didn’t hit too many bad shots between them, as Kevin Tonkin and Bob Noble carded 6 birdies and 12 pars to finish with a nett 59.75.
Well done everyone for supporting the score card raffle. We sold over 90 tickets to the Vets, 20 to the Ladies, and close to 40 to the Saturday players. The Winning tickets were, 1st Brent Jesberg, 2nd John Stewart, 3rd Dave Wilson, 4th Stuart Wright, 5th Graeme Finn, and 6th Fay Wiggins. The new match day score cards should be available in a few weeks.
We are about to put in an order for Cooroy Veteran golf shirts so if you want to order one see Grant as soon as possible.

SAUSAGE SIZZLES & MEMBER GUEST DAY
Sausage sizzles will be held on 23rd July 2014, a 4BBB Stableford sponsored by Grant Smallacombe and 10th September 2014, a 4 Man Ambrose sponsored by The Golf Tragics.
By special arrangement with Wayne and Kirsty both of these events will be shot gun starts.
10th September 2014 will also be a Member Guest Day so start thinking about who you want to invite. A golf handicap is not necessary nor is membership of Cooroy Golf Club. The total cost for a members guest will be $12.00.
