Last week, three of our juniors competed in the School State Championships held at Oxley Golf Club over four days.  Coco Moore and Merrin Bartholomaeus competed in the Sunshine Coast team for 13-19 Girls and Jaxon Smith competed in the Sunshine Coast team for 13-19 Boys.

It was a tough few days, particularly on the last day with the majority of the greens having some tough pin positions.  Coco played some consistent golf, Merrin had a personal best round with 1 under and Jaxon’s best round was 2 over.

Merrin and Coco’s team came 2nd and Jaxon’s team came 3rd in the tournament which is a great achievement.

Merrin was also selected as a shadow player in the QLD Girls Team to compete in Canberra later this year. Congratulations Merrin!!!
