Cooroy Social Club has the sad news that long-time player Andy White has passed away.  Andy was always there with his weekly suggestions accompanied by a cheeky grin. He will be greatly missed.

Tin Can Bay was the venue on 4th Aug for a 2man Ambrose, apparently a lot of beach sand was required for some players not mentioning any names.  Rowdys’ friends from Gympie Jill and Jim Collins won the day gross 78 net 58.  Craig Jacobson (the sandman) and Eric Kenzler came in 2nd gross 77 net 60. Taking 3rd place was Gary Page and Tyrone Drury gross 73 net 66.

No news for the 9 hole Ladies who kindly made way for the 18-hole Championships. They are still playing however so any aspiring beginners are always welcome on a Tuesday morning.

18 hole Ladies played the 2nd round of championships on Aug 8th it was also Monthly Medal Day.  Fay Wiggins had a great game with a score of 66 net, Adri Milan 2nd place with 67 net, and dark horse Maree Foster galloped home with 68 net. Yet again Eve Hunt came in 4th place with 70 net.
