Cooroy Golf Club Social Club played an Ambrose on Aug 25th in excellent conditions and the results for the day proved it was a great day for golf. The club welcomed a new member Ron Lewis who partnered Riley Staples in the Ambrose event and although they chose to mainly play on an adjacent fairway to their playing partners their strategy worked well as they won the day with a score of 59 and a half. John Hawkins and Terry Lyons with a score of 61 and a half came in 2nd Jenny Tucker and a recovering Darryl Ayers came in 3rd place with 63 and a half.
Darryl also won the lucky draw prize. Eric Kenzler and Lester Bonnell won the Bradmans prize. Next Sunday is 18 hole stroke with 4 mystery holes so come and enjoy the early morning with us between 6-630.
9 Hole Ladies had a great game in the sunshine with some impressive scores. Janine Wynwood won the day with 18pts nudging out Susie Thompson also with 18pts and Deb Planincic 3rd with 17. All are welcome to join the ladies from beginner to advanced on a Tuesday at 7:00 am.
18 Hole Ladies played the last round of Championships on Tuesday 27th. The results for the daily Stroke game on the 27th were Wendy O’Hare 69 1st place, Kate Sawrey 2nd with 70, and Eve Hunt always in the running had 72 to take 3rd position. Mary Miller surprised herself to take 4th place also on 72. Championship place-getters were:

18 Hole Ladies played a Stableford Competition on 29th August the weather was exceptional and so was the golf with some excellent scores. Shay Zulpo stated that she didn’t have a bad day and came in with 40pts, Janine Wynwood came back to golf with a flourish to take out 2nd position with 37pts. Tina Thomas tried hard but had to settle for 3rd place also on 37pts. Bev Cranley playing well had 35pts for 4th place.
