The rain held off on Thursday, 20 October, to ensure ‘Tee off for Breast Cancer’ charity at Cooroy Golf Club could go ahead in full swing.
The day was well supported by both 9-Hole and 18-Hole Women as well as the Cooroy Vets. Pink attire was a requirement, and our members certainly embraced the ‘Pink’.
The Greens Superintendent, Warren (lovely in pink), was given free range on the course and set up numerous challenges for golfers. Escape dots ensured scores were high and fun was the order of the day.
$1914.52 was raised for Breast Cancer Research, a fantastic amount from our small club.
Thanks to all who donated prizes for our raffle and helped in any way to make the day a big success. Special mention to Jenny and Tom who worked tirelessly in the club-house and also to Warren on the course. Without your commitment to our club and members, the day would not have been the success that it was.
Winners of the competition on the day were Tina Thomas and Lorraine Munro (58) with Lorraine Kelly and Richard Green (55 c/b) runners-up.
