Cooroy Golf Club Social Club played their Monthly Medal 18hole competition on September 8th.  20 players braved the early morning which was kindly sponsored by Sew Direct.  The winner of the game was George Hall with a great score of Gross 79 Net 73.  George also receives a Monthly Medal.  Welcome to Reg Friskie who took out Runner-Up honours with Gross 94 Net 73 on a countback.  3rd place went to Peter Richardson otherwise known as Narra with Gross 112 Net 76.  Brockie Special (highest score) was a tie between Darryl Ayers and Murray Johns.

Please be advised there will be no Social Golf played on September 15th as the Men’s Open will be played on that day.  Saturday 21st is the day the Social Club is invited to play with the main club so be sure to put your name down or contact Cyril at the club.

9-Hole Ladies played a Stableford with hidden holes on 10th September. Great to see Wendy Morse on the comeback trail with a score of 8 to take the winner’s prize followed closely by Debbie Planincic on 7.  Mary Miller not to be outdone came in with 7 also to take 3rd position.  Thank you to the 9-Hole Ladies for allowing the Matchplay Ladies to play through it was much appreciated.

Any aspiring golfers are most welcome to join the 9-Hole Ladies.  Beginners can be assured they will get plenty of advice and the more advanced wanting to play more golf are more than welcome.  If not a member you may play 3 games before deciding to join. Tee-off time is 7 a.m. on Tuesdays.

18-Hole Ladies played their Foursomes on Thursday, September 12th.  The 9-Hole component of the game was won in style by Prue Aldridge and Shay Zulpo with a score of 35 and the 18-Hole game was won by Bev Cranley and Mary Miller with a score of 68.

Faye Wiggins celebrated her 80th Birthday.  Congratulations Faye you will join the ranks of ladies that we all admire on the golf course.
