Cooroy Golf Club Social Club played an 18hole Monthly Medal on November 3rd. Craig Jacobson managed to unseat George Hall finally to take out Monthly Medal sponsored by Sew Direct with a score of gross 88 net 68 followed closely by Riley Staples gross 76 net 71 and Reg Friske took out 3rd place with gross 90 net 72.
The club AGM is on Tuesday 12th at 6:00 pm .
Next week’s game will be a 2person Ambrose off the white tees red for the ladies.
Anyone wanting to escape the heat and have a fun game please come and join us on any Sunday between 6 – 6.30 am.
9hole Ladies played a Canadian 4some on Melbourne Cup Day November 5th.
Coming down the straight were Carolyn Foster and Sandy Viney with 35 to take the winners position Trisha Gray and Mary Miller tried hard but took out second prize also on 35 and our third prize winner were Felicity Thompson and Jenny Tucker with 38.
It was a fun day with a Melbourne Cup Sweep, closest to the horse on the greens, and a competition for the most stylish hat and the most creative hat. Wendy Morse won the most stylish with a gorgeous pink number in memory of her dear Mother and Jenny Tucker the most creative hat with her take on the old bushies hat where golf tees were substituted for corks. Very mesmerising and handy if you should want an extra tee.
Everyone participated which was great to see and a delicious morning tea was provided by Elaine and Susie big thank you to you both.
All ladies who enjoy playing golf in a relaxed atmosphere are most welcome every Tuesday with tee off a 7am.

18hole Ladies played their Monthly Medal on Thursday, November 7th.
Kate Sawrey and Desley Walker battled it out for the Monthly Medal. Kate was victorious for Div 1 with a fantastic score of 67 and I think I may have heard 3 birdies mentioned. Desley had a great day to take out Div 2 Monthly Medal with 68. Wendy O’Hare came in 3rd with 71 and 4th Carmel Clark with 72.
