WEDNESDAY WRAP

Dangerous Don Clelland hit his second shot on the 13th into the pond. Nothing special about that you might say. But wait there's more ... Don's next shot skipped across the pond 6 times, clipped the bank, popped up and into the hole. A bit of 'Clelland Class’, although his playing partners used a different, less complimentary, but similar sounding word.

Highlights from Wednesday: Some very good efforts with all grades closely contested.
|
Kevin Tonkin sponsored Best Gross: (1) Peter Jeucken 80, (2) Greg Flanagan 81, (T3) Tom Williams 83, Peter Buchbach 83.
|
A Grade went to Greg Flash Flanagan with 65 from Tom Williams 67 and Tony Bernhagen 69. Tony also picked up the Noosa Outlook Prestige Meats voucher for NTP on 15th and a bottle of wine in the lucky draw.
|
B Grade went to Derek Clayton with 66 from Ron Blount 67 and Kim Bannikoff 68. Ron also picked up the NTP on 10th. You won't need to ask Ron how he went - he'll be talking about it all week.
|
A very happy Ian Mulhall took out C Grade with a very good 66 on countback from Michael Hill and Trevor Kinneally 67. Ian was so excited he shouted the committee a beer, which was duly noted.
|
Terry McCulloch joins Grant in sponsoring events on 11th September and 6th November. Terry is coming up with a team name. There are still openings for member sponsorship if you are interested.

NEXT WEEK
Next week is the annual Irish Four-ball Stableford sponsored by 'The Leprechauns' captained by Jim (aka Irish) Henderson so wear something green for a change.

Guinness will be flowing freely.

It will pay to be sure of the rules before you tee off and have a plan of attack. Four man team event: Holes 1 - 4 the best score counts. Holes 5-9 the best two scores count. Holes 10-14 the three best scores count. Holes 15-18 all scores count.

We head up to TIN CAN BAY on Tuesday, 12th March 2019 for a 9:30am shotgun start.
