MARTY' HUT
No need to bring a packed lunch next Wednesday as there will be a compulsory stop at Marty's Hut for a free hamburger and drink.
|
|
A fire in the switch board in the clubhouse caused quite a bit of chaos on Wednesday. Still, was this good enough reason for Vice Captain Jim (aka Irish) to barricade in the Vets Captain so he would have a drinking companion. Given the hot day the answer is probably yes!
|
|
MEMBERSHIP
Welcome aboard to new members Carey Downes and Mike O'Donnell.
|
We still have a number of annual subscription renewals outstanding. If you haven't renewed yet or are unsure if you have renewed see Rod Booth as soon as possible.

NOTE: Our membership year runs from January to December.

HOSTING GYMPIE - RESULTS
A clean sweep with Cooroy taking all the prizes apart from a couple of NTP's.
|
|
Jason Egan took A Grade with 41, Mick McGreal B Grade with 42 and Bob Atkin C Grade with 43.

WEDNESDAY 13th February 2019
|
Despite very hot and humid conditions we had a very good field of 86 for a 'Men's Red Course' Stableford sponsored by the R-Souls of Golf (Tony Bernhagen, John Cairns, Jason Egan, Greg Flanagan and Ray Lally).
|
Highlights of day: A Hole-in-One on the 12th by Paddy Knapp - well done.
|
Visitor from Nambour, Kim Evans, took A Grade with 43 from Bob Noble 42 and Andrew Dick 41. Kim also captured the prized Noosa Outlook Specialty Meats NTP voucher on the 15th.
|
Lance Horn shot 39 to take B Grade from Jim Prendergast 38 on count back from Ron Blount 38.
|
|
Mike Smith played well to record 38 taking C Grade from Rob Powell 37 and John McNamara 37. Mike is heading into hospital shortly for some knee 're-landscaping' and will have plenty of great shots to relive while recovering. We expect to see him back on the course very shortly.

|
HOSTING Mt COOLUM
We are expecting a very big field (we hope to break our record) on Monday, 18th February.
|
|
It will assist if players arrive and register early. It is an 8:00 am shotgun start with registration by 7:30 am at the latest.
