2018 STABLEFORD PLAYER of the YEAR
|
Grant Smallacombe takes out the 2018 Stableford Player of the Year award.
|
|
WEDNESDAY
Another good field of 80.
|

Highlights of the day: Xmas came early for some.
|
Andy Stewart claimed A Grade with 43 from an 'inform' Phil Mason with 42. Tom Williams edged out Tony Hayes and Keith Harkin to claim 3rd place with 41. As it is Xmas Tony and Keith will also receive a prize - a golf ball each.
|
Jack Ruig took out B Gade with Lance Horn 39 edging out Roman Pajak for 2nd place. Lance also claimed the 'Strawberries for Pigs' NTP on the 13th.
|
Steve Howes took out C Grade with 42 from Jim Prendergast and Bob Atkin both on 41. No chance of retiring from golf any time soon Steve!
|
Terry (Two guns) Wilson grabbed NTP's on 3rd and 4th holes.
|
Graham (Ace) Laing EAGLED the 8th but wasn't aware the ball was in the hole until he got to the green - Xmas surprise!
|
Unfortunately, not such a good day for others: Terry Lyons suffered injuries in a traffic accident on the way to work and is in the Sunshine Coast Hospital. We wish him a speedy and full recovery.
|
Ray Hand suffered a split shin after being hit by a stray golf ball and had to NCR. We will see Ray next week at our Xmas lunch, if not on the course.
|
XMAS Lunch and Presentation of Trophies
Next week is a 4 Man Ambrose and 8:00 am shotgun start followed by lunch and trophy presentation. Lunch is a smorgasbord catered by Cooroy Golf Club.
|
As Grant and Jimmy will be setting the tee positions expect some surprises and challenges.

2019 VETS ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION FEE
|
Rod will start collecting Vets annual fees for 2019 next week - $10.00 (male) $5.00 (female).
