WEDNESDAY
Congratulations to Warren and his staff for presenting the course in the condition it was after all of this week’s rain. It is a credit to them, and I am sure that in years gone by this rain event would have seen the course closed for a day or two. The course was very playable but obviously with little run.
|
The day was supposed to be a 4 Man Ambrose with 104 players taking part.
|
Unfortunately, the previous days' weather must have scared a lot off and we only ended up with a field of 52 scattered all over the timesheet. This plus the scorecard printer being out of action had us change the competition to a Single Stableford with none of the results going to Golflink.
|
The damp and windy conditions did, however, affect the scores with only 2 players scoring to their handicap or better.
|
Rick Beattie playing off 7 had a very good round and finished with 38 points winning A - Grade. In 2nd place was Frank Hansen with 34 points.
|
Grant Smallacombe with 36 points took out the B – grade from Peter Palmer 35 points.
|
Jim Bissett carded 31 points for a win in C – Grade, and as unbelievable as it seems, Con Russell came 2nd with just 25 points.
|

|
Today’s Run Down went to 28 points so 18 players will receive a voucher for a free schooner at Your Mates Bowls Pub, Cooroy. Your Captain recommends trying a schooner of their Donnie.

Next Wednesday is the February Monthly Medal.
