WEDNESDAY
The Red October Submarine made a reappearance after going silent for several years but, despite the large prize on offer to 'hole it' and, much to the relief of owner, Greg Michael, it remained afloat and unmarked at the end of the day. Understandable as it is that small red shape in the picture at the far end of the first lake on the 10th. Thanks to the Red October Team (Terry Lyons, Paul O'Hare, Terry Magill, Greg Michael) for sponsoring the day.

It was a day for the C Graders to shine with Gavin Slater scoring 42 to take the main prize from David Sweet 41 and Dave Chapman 39.
|
It needed a countback in B Grade with Vets Host Day Captain, Dave Lyons, taking first place with 38 from Tony Bernhagen 38 and Wayne Carty 38.
|
Tony Hayes shot 37 to take A Grade from Bob Noble 36 and Gary Menyweather 36.
|
Congratulations to Doug Pearce for an Eagle on the 11th.
|

Terry Lyons is back from his grand overseas tour and his clothes seemed to have shrunk a little. Terry must have enjoyed the food in UK as well as the golf.

If you play with Garry Stephens (picture) and he tells you he can't hit a 3 wood off the deck don't believe him. He nailed this shot on the 16th from about 200m out putting the ball on the green.

VETS 2022 AGM
It's that time of the year again. Our 2022 AGM will be held on Wednesday, 2nd November at the conclusion of the competition. The Agenda will be posted in advance.
|
Financial Ordinary Members of Cooroy Veterans' Golf Club may submit Motions in writing to the Vets Secretary for consideration of inclusion on the 2022 AGM Agenda. Each Motion must be supported by Explanatory Notes.
|
Nominations for Office Bearers and committee for 2023 are now open and need to be in the hands of the Vets Secretary not later than fourteen (14) days before the AGM scheduled date.
|

CHARITY EVENT - TEE OFF FOR CANCER
Cooroy women are holding a fund raising day shortly with all profits going to Tee Off for Cancer. It is a great cause so please support it.

The Entry fee is $20.00 with an optional lunch for $10.00 and numerous raffle prizes.
|
