WEDNESDAY
|
A cold but fine day didn't deter Ian Mulhall who put in a red hot performance to card 40 points in a Stableford sponsored by Ken McKay. Ian had the best score of the day, won C Grade and picked up two NTP's. The only thing he didn't win was the Lucky Draw.
|
Apart from Ian's 40, 38 was a pretty popular score. Jim Bisset took Runner Up in C Grade with 38 from Mike Smith also on 38.

Keith Harkins won A Grade with 38 from Brett LeMoy 37 and Peter Brown 36.
|
Garry Stephens won B Grade with 38 from Bruce Dooley 37 and Dale Rickard 37. Hopefully Garry's form carries through to the the District Championship on Monday at Peregian Springs.
|
Players are still not checking results and correcting score cards so, incorrect cards are now being disqualified. Grant and Jimmy don't enjoy doing this but players have had sufficient warning and time to understand what is required.

VOLUNTEERS
Warren is looking for volunteers for Tuesday, 23rd August 2022 and 30th August 2022. See post link below for details.

Studley Martin has kindly donated a large supply of paving stones which will be used in the Tee Identity Project and other projects to improve the aesthetics and playability of the course. We need to get them from Tinbeerwah to the course. If you have a flat top utility or trailer and are willing to assist please contact Graham Laing at jla65226@bigpond.net.au

One of The Club Goals/Objectives for 2022 to 2023 is to "lower the cost of course maintenance". A significant contributor to course costs is the cost of servicing and maintaining our fleet of course machinery and equipment. Well-maintained equipment equates to fewer breakdowns and also lower repair and replacement costs – a direct and measurable saving. If you have expertise in this area and are willing to donate some time have a word to Warren.

Another group of 8 Cooroy players head to Peregian Springs on Monday 22nd August for the District Championship.
