WEDNESDAY
Thanks to Cooroy/Pomona RSL Sub Branch and Vets ex servicemen (Errol Radley, Tony Kershaw, John Cairns, Russ Rylance, Wayne McKinnon, Kevin Olsen, John Butler, Tony Bernhagen, John Round) - for sponsoring the day.

Tony Kershaw presented the prizes on behalf of the Cooroy/Pomona RSL Sub Branch and our ex servicemen and, spoke about the good work undertaken by the sub branch. For those who remember him, the sub branch provides support to Bob Daley, a long time Cooroy Vet, by way of regular visits.
|
Thanks to our BBQ cooks - Jim Henderson, Con Russell, Ron Blount and Rod Booth who headed out before the main field to squeeze in 18 holes before cooking up a storm, literally. For about about 90 minutes they bragged to anyone in the clubhouse who would listen (or cared) that they were leading the competition. Then the main field started to arrive back in the clubhouse and things went quiet!

SCDVGA DISTRICT TEAM CHALLENGE
The District Team Challenge will be held on Monday, 24th May 2018 at Pelican Waters.
|
- The game is a Stableford event.
- Shotgun start - time to be advised.
- Each club in the District enters a team of 10 (8 players and 2 reserves).
- All 10 chosen players will get a game.
- Your team result comes from the best 6 scores from your 8 players.
- Our Captain, Grant, will pick the team.
Please nominate if you are interested in playing and remember “we can’t pick you if you don’t nominate”. The nomination sheet is on the Vets Noticeboard in clubhouse.

Included at no cost to selected players, as you are representing the Cooroy Veterans Golf Club, is your nomination fee, a meal and cart hire. All players must share a cart - no walkers.

HOST DAY VISIT to NAMBOUR
A reminder that we visit Nambour on Monday, 30th April 2018. Nominations close on 23rd April 2018.

There are plenty of places available - the nomination sheet is in the clubhouse.
