WEDNESDAY
Please note that if you are unsure of a rule whilst playing you have 2 options:
- Ring the Vets Captain at 0439171707 for clarification (I carry my phone whilst playing for this purpose) or
- keep playing and ask a committee member for a ruling once you have finished your round. It is very disappointing to hear that there are players out there making up their own interpretations of the rules.
A highlight of Wednesday was an Eagle for David Attrill on the 8th hole; well done David. You not only win 6 balls for the Eagle but also win the bottle of wine donated by Angoves for the NTP.
The Mind and Motion Exercise Physiology straight drive on the 2nd went to Doug Pearce.
A tie for the A-Grade Championships will see Studley Martin and Grathan Leatherbarrow in a playoff to decide the winner at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, 12th September 2023. The playoff will be contested over 3 holes.
Ties for Gross events will be decided by a play-off on holes 1, 17, and 18. If no result is achieved there will be a sudden death hole-by-hole playoff on holes 1, 17, and 18 in that order.

HOST DAY PROGRAM
We had 28 members play at Mount Coolum together with members from Pelican Waters. There was a large field of 127 and it was a credit to the team at Mount Coolum for organising the day.
Anthony Jones was our best player on 37 taking out second place in C Grade. Run down went to 32 with 8 of ours collecting a ball each, Dave Chapman lost C grade 3rd on c/b Terry Wilson, Greg Michael, Darryl Ayers, Andrew Carson, Gary Menyweather, Scott Bennett, Derek Wood. Peter Jeucken took a nearest the pin.
We did do well in the raffle with 4 winners. Sadly our overall performance for the 2 home and away rounds of the CooCoo Cup resulted in a win for Mt Coolum. The advantage was with our opponents as they fielded around 60 players each round to choose their best 20 scores. The weather and course conditions provided for a great day out though and we got in and away before the storms hit.
