There was no newsletter last week which disappointed Con Russell as he had his first win in quite a while in the August Monthly Medal. So, congratulations Con on winning the C Grade Medal but the glory was short-lived. Con went from rooster to feather duster this week as he doesn't appear in any winning list or the rundown.

Geoff Currie has been in poor form on the golf course but good form with the Lucky Draw picking up a prize in each of the last two weeks.

HOST DAY PROGRAM
Twenty-seven Cooroy Vets were hosted by Peregian on Monday 31st July. Three of our players were richly rewarded, namely Frank Hansen (39 points, second-best score of the day out of 100 plus players), along with Mike Kent (38) and Tony Atkins (37).

Terry Lyons and Graham Laing had good rounds too of 35 points. There is a good rapport between members from both clubs and we look forward to hosting Peregian on Monday, September 25, which happens to be our next home game.

In the meantime, we visit three other clubs – Maroochy River on Monday 28th August, Mt. Coolum on Monday, 4th September (rescheduled as washed out earlier in the year) and Gympie on Tuesday, 19th September.

There were three nomination sheets in the clubhouse last week, which could test the memory of some members.

We received a nomination sheet from Maroochy for the 21st of August before they realised that morning had been double booked. It is now a week later. Those who were nominated for the 21st have been contacted and the new nomination sheet is now in the clubhouse.
