WEDNESDAY
Thanks to 'The R-Souls of Golf' (aka Ray Lally, Greg Flanagan, John Cairns, Peter Crosby, Geoff Cowan, Tony Bernhagen) for sponsoring the Best 3 of 4 Stableford competition.
|
The Cowan Team of Geoff, Paul Hennesy (Vis), Paul Korczynski and Brian Clemow claimed the main prize with 120 points.
|
The Woolway Team of Mark, the 'Lenske Boys' Rick and Jim and Mark Rumford finished Runners Up with 116 points, edging out the Stewart's Team of John, Andy, Bob Noble and Keith Harkins on a countback.

WHAT's COMING UP

HOST DAY PROGRAM
Time Sheets are out for our visit to Mt Coolum and will close at the end of this month. When you nominate please say whether you are walking or going in a cart. This allows the hosting Captain to put walkers on tees close to the clubhouse. Nothing to do with booking a cart; you will need to do that using the phone number on the nomination sheet. You will either be booking a cart for yourself only or for you and your playing partner to share by arrangement. There is a lot of pride at stake. Last year we won the 'Coo Coo' Shield, but we will need as many players as possible to defend it this year.

We host Nambour on May 22. That timesheet will be available from next Wednesday, 26th April.

Finally, we received an invitation sheet from Gympie Vets for eight players to compete in the District Teams Match Play Championship on June 15th. There will be two teams of four, A and B Grade. A grade will be 0-15 based on a slope rating of 117 and B grade 16-30 based on a slope rating of 117. The cost for the day is $60 including game, lunch and cart hire. There will be no walkers. VOLUNTEERS
We are seeking the assistance of two volunteers, ladies or men, to paint the timber verandah attached to the new staff/volunteers amenities block in the green-keepers compound.
|
|
If you are willing to help and have the time available please contact Peter Piggott at 0414526214. The pay is great and you are welcome to a free coffee or drink at the end of your shift. Paint, brushes etc will be provided.
