Last Wednesday Con forgot his wallet so he borrowed $10 from one of his playing partners. Con couldn't remember his name but told others that he wore a straw hat.

This Wednesday 20 players turned up with straw hats and held their hand out. Ignore the pretenders Con, your lenders name is Doug (The Bank) Allisone (photo sans straw hat). You can pay it back out of your winnings from Wednesday.

On Wednesday the last 4 Man Aggregate Stableford group arrived back in the clubhouse quietly confident they were a good chance. And they were, but only just. Congratulations to Brian Clemow, Dave Lyons, Graham Laing and John Hillis with 139 points. They played good consistent team golf - quite apart from having the Vets President and Club Greens Director/Vets committee member in the team.

Runners Up went to Bruce Wilshire, Con Russell, Jim Prendergast and Dennis Beckhaus with 138.

Individual winners in the single Stableford competition were Keith Harkins 41 followed by Grant Smallacombe 41 and Peter Piggott 40.
|
Keith also claimed two NTP's.
|

Maleny had hoped to have an additional three holes open in time for our visit but the weather intervened so we play nine holes twice. Check the index before you tee off as the index may change the second time you play a hole.

Grant is negotiating a visit later in the year so we can experience the new holes.
