WEDNESDAY
Interesting fact that today’s winners of the “Best 2 of 4 Stableford” competition, which is the best 2 scores “Hole by Hole”, was won by a team scoring 92 points.
They didn’t play exceptionally well singularly, (Bruce McLean 35 points, Peter Buchbach 34 points, Don Clelland 31 points, Ron Ballantyne 27 points), in fact, none of them would have won a major prize in their individual grades, but obviously, they did combine well.
The team of Kelvin Brittain, Richard Gibson, Peter Brown, and Kevin Pickford (90 points) finished 2nd on a countback from Tony Kershaw, Steve Jackson, Greg Topping and Michael Loe.
The leading scores in each grade were:
A Grade: Peter Brown – 41 points, Scott Bennett – 37 points, Kelvin Brittain – 36 points.
B Grade: Phil Mason – 43 points, Rick Lenske – 42 points, Tony Watson 41 points.
C Grade: Con Russell – 37 points, Anthony Jones 37 points, John Stewart 35 points.
Although these single Stableford scores may have not won these players a prize today they still count towards our “STABLEFORD PLAYER of the YEAR” trophy event.

HOST DAY PROGRAM
We hosted Gympie in January and Mt. Coolum on Monday 13th February.
Greg Michael is off to a flying start winning A Grade on both days and pocketing $100 in so doing. But the hounds are snapping at his heels, particularly Tony Atkins and Frank Hansen only three and four points behind.
In spite of being outnumbered, we lead Mt. Coolum in the Coo Coo Shield 682 to 669. This is based on the scores from the President and Captain/Vice Captain and from 18 others. That is concerning though as we will have to play really well when we visit Mt. Coolum in mid-May.
Our next host day is at Tin Can Bay on Tuesday, 7th March. Hopefully, we will get the invite and nomination sheet soon.
A big thank you to Irish Henderson, Grant and Graham for running the first two events and to our resident ‘Kitchen Wench’ for providing breakfast on both days.
