Thanks to Peter Palmer for sponsoring the competition. We didn't see Peter's name anywhere on the results sheet - Peter you can win when you sponsored an event.

Thanks also to Steve Paice for putting his hand up to assist as a starter for 2023. Steve survived his first starter duty on Wednesday without a scratch and finished 3rd in C Grade.

Richard Gibson had an outstanding round to shoot 70 off the stick to win the A Grade Stableford with 44 points from Paul Korczynski with 39 and Steve Jackson with 37.
|
Vets President, Graham Laing also had a good day scoring 40 to take B Grade from John Butler 39 and Tom Williams 39.
|
Anthony Jones took C Grade with 36 from Mike O'Donnell 35 and Steve Paice 34.
|
Don't bring lunch next week as we have our first FREE Jimmy's Famous Banger and Beer for 2023 at Marty's Hut.

HOST DAY PROGRAM
The nomination sheet for Cooroy hosting Gympie on Monday, 23rd January has been collected from the Club. Tee allocation will be posted on the website.

If players need to cancel, please send a text message with details to 0419722104. If others want to play send a text message no later than Sunday morning.

We host Mt. Coolum on Monday 13th February. This will be a big day. There is a lot of pride at stake, and moderate sledging is encouraged.
|
In spite of Mt. Coolum outnumbering us at least 2 to 1, we still managed to win the Coo Coo Shield in 2022, based on home and away scores.
|
The best 18 Stableford scores plus the Captain and Presidents score from each club are compiled. Last year at Cooroy our C Grade stars dominated the 18 best scores and Mt. Coolum Vets were not able to claw their way back when we visited them later.

That nomination sheet is in the clubhouse. Please make it easy for the Committee by clearly writing your name, golf link number and cart/walk on the nomination sheet.

STAFF AND VOLUNTEER AMENITIES BUILDING
We are pleased to advise that we have donations to fully fit out the new staff and volunteer amenities building - a big thank you.

The building is currently being assembled with delivery now expected around the middle of February.

Our Vets' year runs from January to December. 2023 fees are now due; $10.00 for Full members (male) and $5.00 for Restricted members (female).
