Hi reader,
2022 Vets Xmas Lunch

VETS XMAS LUNCH

What a great way to finish a very interesting year. A field of 114 for a 4-person Ambrose, lots of contests on the course with lots of prizes and then return to the clubhouse for a magnificent roast lunch prepared and served by The Spit Roast Company.

A big thanks to Wayne for organising the 'donation' of a keg of Coopers' Beer. Thanks also to Grant, Jimmy (Irish) and Warren for setting up the course for the challenges on each hole.

Mark Kelly will have 2022 etched in his memory as he is now our grand champion of just about everything. Grant decided to include a list of Mark's achievements on his golf shirt prize but almost caused a problem for our shirt supplier, Apparel Plus, as they nearly used up a year's supply of embroidery cotton.

The McLean Team of Bruce McLean, Studley Martin, Tony Watson, and Peter Jeucken put it all together to take out the Ambrose competition prize with 50.75. It is worth noting that the winning team score included 11 birdies and 1 eagle. Each team member receives $50 on their House Account.

The Dave Lyons Team of Dave Lyons, Don Clelland, Ron Ballantyne and Dale Boys claimed runner-up with 51.62. Each team member receives $35 on their House Account.

Third place went to the Big Geoff Team of Geoff (Big Geoff) Pembroke, Phil Botting, Geoff (Little Geoff) Currie and Shane LeGale with 52.25. Each team member receives $20 on their House Account.

Run Down:

Kelvin Brittain, Peter Brown, Richard Green, David Attrill – 53.5
Brian Clemow, Scott Bennett, Tom Williams, Derek Clayton – 54.37
Paul Korczynski, Bob Read, Dave Chapman, John Wuersching – 55
Greg Flanagan, Grathan Leatherbarrow, Rob Nash, Peter Crosby – 55.37

The Vets paid Cooroy Golf Club $4,317.00 for purchases of goods and services for the day including credits to member House Accounts.
