2020 VETS FINAL DAY & XMAS LUNCH
That's a wrap for another successful, albeit eventful, year of Vets golf. We have a short break before we kick off 2021 on 6th January. Have a safe Xmas.
|
Unfortunately, because of the threatening weather we had to make a early call on catering and cancelled the planned free drink and food platter. Of course 'Murphy's Law' prevailed and the weather held off, although a little hot and humid.
|
The Vets Committee left their best golf efforts till the final day and figured prominently in the 4 Man Ambrose results.
|
The Presidents Team of Graham Laing, John Butler, Peter Smith and Terry Wilson pipped the Committee Team of Jim Henderson, Grant Smallacombe, Dave Lyons and Steve Howes (past committee member) by one eighth to claim first place.
|
The Noble Team of Bob, Andy Stewart, Keith Harkins and John Stewart took 3rd place.
|
David Attrill collected two NTP's.
Long Drives went to: A Grade Richard Gibson, B Grade Dale Rickard, C Grade Geoff Cowan.

Congratulation to Geoff Linde for an Eagle on the 14th on 9th December 2020.
|
|
If you are looking for a game over Xmas/New Year Wayne is running a Wednesday 'bar competition' - usual rolling tee times except next Wednesday, 23rd December when tee times will be from 8:00am as there is a social group hitting off early.
|
|

COOROY VETS CLUB SHIRT
A recent Sunshine Coast District Veteran Golfers Association meeting agreed that players be encouraged to wear their club colours when playing in home and away host day competitions.
|
It will be mandatory to wear club colours when playing in single and team District Championship events.
|
|
If you intend playing in host day events in 2021 and don't own one of our Apple/Black club shirts (picture Jim Henderson) we encourage you purchase one. You can click on the button below to place an order. The cost is $40.00.

2021 - ANNUAL PROGRAM
|
Grant has finalised our program for 2021 as far as practical. The program will be added to the website event calendar progressively. Start times are still up in the air and will advised closer to the event.
|

6th January 2021: Opening Day & JAN Monthly Medal - sponsored by John Madill Toyota - time start.
13th January 2021: Stableford sponsored by Derek Clayton
20th January 2021: Stableford sponsored by Peter Palmer
27th January 2021: 4 Man Ambrose sponsored by John Butler.

11th January 2021: Host Day visit to Pelican Waters. The nomination sheet is available in the clubhouse. Nominations close on 6th January 2021
