VETS 2020 AGM
A reminder that we hold our Vets AGM at the conclusion of competition next Wednesday.
|
As flagged in the our last Vets newsletter we will run the AGM a little differently this year. Report authors will not be speaking to their reports so we strongly encourage you to read the report package by clicking the button below.

WEDNESDAY
Thanks to 'The Card Length Kings' (aka Kim Bannikoff and Doug Allisone) for sponsoring today’s event. As Kim has also donated a dozen Titleist ProV1 golf balls there will be a special NTP on the 11th next Wednesday. A and B Grade 3rd shot, C Grade 4th shot - 4 ProV1's to each winner.

Ray Glover is back playing after some health issues and teamed up with Lionel Willett for Wednesdays 2 Man Ambrose. Their strategy, some might suggest irrational exuberance, involved playing the last 4 holes off the blue tees. They finished with 71, a little off the pace! Ray made it all the way around but figured he might be a bit sore tomorrow after his layoff. Good to see you back playing Ray.

Con Russell had car trouble this morning so he was late for his game meaning a later than usual finish delaying Cons afternoon nap!
|
The smart money is usually on a score in the high 50’s for an Ambrose but, that was looking doubtful until the last couple of groups came in. Congratulations to Don Esposito and Brett LeMoy with 59.25. David Tink and Richard Gibson took runner up with 60.5 from Graham Laing and Brad Lavender with 60.75.

An honorable mention for the Phil Mason Team for completing their scorecard correctly.

HOST DAYS
We hosted Maroochy River on Monday with a field of 68 and an almost clean sweep of prizes by Cooroy. The Maroochy River captain commented on how good the course looks and how well the greens played, so no excuses. Well done to Todd and the boys.
|
Three Cooroy teams played in the District 4 Man Ambrose at Nambour on Tuesday with some success. The Cooroy team of Andrew Carson, Ron Ballantyne, Brian Clemow and Joe Daniels took 5th place. Noosa scooped the pool.
|
We host Headland Vets on Monday, 16th November. The nomination sheet is available in the clubhouse. Nominations close on 9th November.
