It's been a long time between drinks from the Pewter Mug for Dave Lyons; 2015 and 2021. Pick which year each photo was taken. The team captains haven't aged a bit, well, maybe a little bit. Just shows how playing with the Vets contributes to your well being.

WEDNESDAY
Aussie Attack captain, Grant, remained quietly confident of a historic ‘4peat’ as the 2021 International All Stars vs Aussies challenge kicked off. There were however, rumbles that team Vice Captain and motivator, Con Russell, is looking for higher honors (a promotion to captain!) for his contribution to previous wins by AA. Of course, this may have been a rumour spread by the other teams to unsettle AA and upset their winning streak.
It was always going to be close and things got a little tense as the final groups arrived back in the clubhouse and posted good scores, particularly for the two Aussie teams. International All Stars captain, Jimmy (Irish) Henderson, played it cool though, choosing to ignore all the sledging and mind games.
Kerry Davies, playing in the last group, had a cracker of a round adding 44 points (69 off the stick) to the True Blue Aussies performance to seal victory for Dave Lyons by one point.

HOST DAY PROGRAM
The host day visit to Gympie on Tuesday saw Graham Laing win B Grade and we picked up some prizes in the raffle. From all reports new ownership has seen significant improvements in the clubhouse and things are starting to happen on the course.
