Welcome aboard to new member, Steve Paice. Steve joined us for his first game with the Vets.
|
|
|
A fantastic start to spring and our 2021 Vets Championship with a record field of 103 and some pretty hot scores.
|
We also played the August Monthly Medal sponsored by John Madill Toyota. Please bear Madill's in mind if you are looking for a new or secondhand vehicle and don't forget to mention Cooroy Vets.
|
|
The winners in the A Grade Monthly Medal all came from the same early starter group. Bob Noble shot 66 to take top spot from Andy Stewart 68 and Keith Harkins70. Andy and Bob are well positioned for the championship.
|
Jim Lenske put together a great round to take B Grade with 67 from Jim Gregg 70 and Bruce Wilshire 71.
|
Joe Daniels also had a good day taking the C Grade medal with 68 from Nick Kostalas 72 and Jim Henderson 73 c/b.
|
Honest Errol (I never win anything) Radley earned himself brownie points for apologising to our Captain, Grant, for edging him out of the NTP on the 13th but, was he really sorry!
|
Mike Smith had a shocker of a round but did birdie the 11th, partly redeeming himself. Mike is now a fully fledged member of the Cooroy Vets golfing community at Palm Lake Lifestyle Village, Cooroy.

We play Round 2 of the 2021 Vets Championship sponsored by 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" (aka Andy Stewart, John Stewart, Bob Noble, Keith Harkins and Jeff McDonald) and the September Monthly Medal.

HOST DAY PROGRAM
The nomination sheet for the host day visit to Gympie on Tuesday, 21st September is available in the clubhouse. You need to book a hire cart with Gympie if you need one.

The Sunshine Coast District Veteran Golfers Association 2021 District Championship will be played at Peregian Golf Club on Friday, 8th October 2021. There are some great prizes on offer. We have secured 10 spots in a restricted field of 120. If you are interested in playing speak to Dave Lyons, Host Day Captain, about eligibility conditions. The nomination sheet is available in the clubhouse. If your nomination is successful you must wear our Apple Green club colours on the day.
