WEDNESDAY
We saw some very good scores returned for the June Monthly Medal sponsored by long time sponsor, John Madill Toyota.
|
Mike Kent's hot streak continues with an impressive 64 to take A Grade from Greg Michael 69 and Tony Hayes 70. Mike also claimed the Kevin Tonkin Best Gross with 75 off the stick.
|
An equally impressive 66 by Peter Piggott saw him take B Grade from Ray Hand 68 on countback from Bruce McLean.
|
|
Nick Kostalas fired a very good 65 to take C Grade from Glen Johnstone and Kim Bannikoff.
|
Next week is a Stableford and Qualifying Round for the 2021 Single Matchplay Championship. If you want to play in the QR place a 'Q' against your name on the whiteboard. There are prizes for each round. If you forfeit a match then you forfeit all prizes won in previous rounds. The dates by which each round must be completed are:

Kevin Crundall has a broken ankle and is wearing a moon-boot so, no golf or moon-dancing for a while.
|

No golf either for Lionel Willett for a couple of weeks after some sun cancer surgery.

A successful trip to Maryborough saw Cooroy return with the MaryRoy shield. Maryborough put in a great effort at home but it wasn't enough to match the consistent home and away performance by Cooroy. Thanks to our member bus driver, Bruce Otto, for an entertaining and safe bus trip.

We travel to Caloundra on Friday, 25th June. Tee Times are from 8:00 am through to 11:00 am. Competition Fee: $15.00. A bowl of hot chips will be provided by the bar staff to each foursome on completion. The nomination form is available in Cooroy clubhouse. Nominations Close on 15th June 2021. We are limited to 30 players so don't delay nominating.

Caloundra has made a change to hire cart management and related financial arrangements. Hire carts can only be booked to a name on a game sheet. So, you need to wait until we submit our nominations for the day. We will let you know once hire cart booking is open. Caloundra say there will not be a problem with availability of hire carts.
