Hi reader,

HIGHLIGHTS of THE WEEK

It was great to have our Captain, Grant, back on deck and keen to get back into things, but not playing just yet.

We hosted Headland on Monday with a field of 61.

Cooroy took the honours with Greg Michael winning A Grade with 40, Mick McGreal B Grade with an excellent 46 and Geoff Currie C Grade with 41. Headland picked up a share of the placings and NTPs. A great day!

After resolving a bit of confusion about whether a card had been handed in the result for Wednesdays 2 Man Aggregate was quickly sorted out with Terry McCulloch and Tom Williams declared winners with 81 points.

There was a close fought tussle for places:
Runners Up: Andre Smit & David Attrill - 77
3rd Place: Peter Williamson & Trevor Kinneally - 76
4th Place: Bruce Wilshire & Glen Johnstone - ??

Rundown: Con Russell/Kev Crundall, Mike Hill/Andrew Carson, Kim Bannikoff/Rex Williams, Rudy Agerbeek/Ray Glover, Rob Powell/Bob Read, Geoff Cowan/Doug Pearce, Wayne McKinnon/ Errol Radley

An excellent 46 Stableford points by Con Russell but, a disappointing contribution by his partner (who shall remain anonymous but, the initials are Kevin Crundall) left them out of a place on the podium. KC put forward the excuse that his focus was on geeing up Con to play well which affected his own game!!

Next Wednesday, 25th September, we play our hotly contested annual ‘International All Stars’ versus The Aussies” event sponsored by “The Shankers” (Geoff Edwards, Terry McCulloch, Grant Smallacombe)

Team Captains, Grant (Aussie Attack) and Jimmy (International All Stars) were seen on a recruiting drive together on the course on Wednesday; is there a conspiracy at hand? Meanwhile Dave (True Blue Aussies) quietly honed his game and team strategy in preparation for next week.

There is a rumor that Grant has recruited Con as his disruptor in chief to distract the opposition from playing well.
