HIGHLIGHTS of THE WEEK
We played our September Monthly Medal sponsored by John Madill Toyota and Round 1 of the 2019 Vets Championship on a beautiful, warm spring day.
|
Honest Errol Radley took out A Grade with 64 from Brian Clemow with 65 on countback from Tony Bernhagen.
Trevor Kinneally shot 62 to take B Grade on countback from Bruce McLean and new member Mark Woolway.
|
Kerry (I never win anything) Martin fired at the right time to take C Grade with 63 from John Round 65 and Mike Smith 67.
|
The Kevin Tonkin sponsored Best Gross went to Andy Stewart with 78 from Tony Bernhagen 79 and Peter Buchbach 80.
|
VOLUNTEERS
We need your help next Monday afternoon, 9th September 2019 and Tuesday morning, 10th September 2019.
|
Thanks to Tony Bernhagen and his mate Nigel (and his supervisor) whose 'cherry picker' will be out on the course again trimming branches that overhang fairways. Todd and our Greens Director, Dave Lyons, have identified branches to go namely: 1st hole near corner, 2nd hole right hand side and 3rd hole before the creek, particularly branches impacting drives from the back tee.

Help is needed from 4:00 pm on Monday and from 7:30 am on Tuesday to assist Greens Staff.

MAJESTIC COMEDY SHORTS & STAND-UP
The Comedy Shorts are on again at the Majestic Theatre, Pomona on Saturday, 14th and Sunday, 15th September. Warning some adult content!!

Paul O'Hare will reprise his performance from last year. You’ve laughed at his golf and Irish Jig now laugh at his acting. Our own Dale (Rick) Rickard is Prop Choreographer - or at least that's the title he's given himself.

DISTRICT MASTERS
|
Several Vets played in the recent District Masters at Caloundra with Terry Lyons taking 1st place on a countback with 41. Dale Rickard reveled in the glory of 2nd place for about 5 minutes with 40 but was ultimately relegated to 15th place on a countback.
