VALE GARRY SHEALES
It is with sadness that we advise Garry Sheales passed away on Tuesday, 23rd July after a long illness.
Garry was a long time member of Cooroy Vets but hadn't been able to play for some time. Garry was also a foundation member of our long time member sponsors 'The Bush Boys'. We extend our condolences to his family and many friends.

HIGHLIGHTS of THE WEEK
The highlight of the week was Andy Stewart’s 2 over the card 74 (47 points) on our visit to Maroochy River on Monday. Andy was our only winner.
|
No wind and a Maroochy River course in great condition.
|
NTPs went to Lance Horn, Andrew Dick and Joe Daniels. Balls in the rundown to Greg Michael (39), Andrew Aves (37), Lance Horn (37), Don Clelland (36), Andrew Dick (35) and Mike Kent (35). Also, Leigh Gow, one of our southern visitors, played and won a ball with 35 points.

Wednesday kicked off Round 1 of the Old Course Challenge with Tony Foster firing 23 to take the round on countback leaving him well placed for the overall crown. Others with good round 1 results were: Don Clelland 23, Michael Loe 21, Bob Atkin 21, Peter Buchbach 21.

With the improved weather and a course returning to some normality we saw some good Single Stableford scores.
|
Andy Stewart continued his good form from Maroochy River to take A Grade with 39 on c/b from Terry Magill. Honest Errol Radley took 3rd place with 38.
|
Michael Loe carded an excellent 41 to take B Grade on countback from Dangerous Don Clelland with Derek Wood taking 3rd place with 39.
|
John McNamara also carded a very good 41 to take C Grade from Bob Atkin 39 and Wayne Carty 38 on c/b.
|
|
Wayne McKinnon and Keith Harkins both shot NTP's on consecutive holes. Wayne on 3rd and 4th. Keith on 12th and 13th.
