2019 COOROY MEN'S OPEN ONLINE REGISTRATION
Online registration is now available on The Club website under the What's On eNoticeboard or click the button above. Nominations close on 16th June 2019.

You can register up to four players in a playing group in one online process and book a hire cart if needed. You need the following information for each player BEFORE you start the online nomination process. Full Name, Full GolfLink Number, Handicap, Contact Phone Number, email address and Course Transport (e.g. walk, hire cart, own cart).

The field will be capped at 100 so don't delay registering your nomination. Nominations in excess of the cap will be placed on a 'wait list'. There are 20 Hire Carts with GPS available.

The 'Official List of Nominations' is available on the Cooroy Golf Club website under the What's On noticeboard.

If you want to add your name to a Group of less than 4 players on the Official List of Nominations speak to Kelvin Brittain or Cyril Trist or contact us by email at - startersbox@cooroygolf.com.au You need to provide the information stated above.

It comes as no surprise that golf is following the pattern of other sports where short forms of the game have emerged because participants are increasingly prioritising their time and no longer prepared to allocate the hours required for the traditional long form of the game.
|
Golf Australia research predicts emerging variations of the short form game will increasingly become the norm. As a result the Golf Australia handicap system now caters for 9-Hole handicaps.
|
The 18-hole format will not disappear but clubs must cater for flexible short form versions of golf as part of their product offer or risk long term survival. We are offering an upgraded 9-Hole Membership SPECIAL catering for the introduction of 9-Hole handicaps.

The annual membership fee of $500 includes:

- 10 x FREE 9-Hole competition rounds PLUS
- 10 x FREE 9-Hole social rounds.

9-Hole social rounds are available every day - no booking necessary. We are currently looking at expanding our 9-Hole competition options for members and visitors.

WOMEN'S GOLF
Women’s golf currently have 15 members playing in the Queensland Country Championships. This event is being held at both Bundaberg and Bargara Golf courses over three days.
|
The first event held was a foursomes followed by two stroke events. We are very happy to report Cooroy player Wendy O'Hare and her partner are joint three way winners for the Foursomes event.
