The story of the day was Peter Kennedy's close encounter with the dam on the 9th - both the ball and Peter ended up wet.
|
|
Despite good conditions and a course in great shape there was a common comment as players handed in score cards; 'I had my worst golf day for a long time'. And, there were some ordinary scores but, there were also some good ones.
|
Peter Jeucken fired to take the A Grade medal with 71 on count back from Greg Michael. Greg Flanagan took third place.
|
Derek Wood finished with the best net score of the day with 67 to take the B Grade medal from Paul O’Hare and Peter Palmer.
Peter Jeucken and Greg Michael tied for the Kevin Tonkin sponsored Best Gross with 82.
|
NEXT WEEK is a Stableford off the blue tees. Thanks to generous sponsorship by John Butler there will be increased prize levels for each grade.

Unfortunately, with removal of club sand buckets we are seeing a large number of divots in tee areas not being repaired. Until things return to normal, members can assist by bringing along a sand bucket and repairing divots as you play your round.

A Scottish Joke
A golfer is cupping his hand to scoop water from a Highland burn on the St Andrews course when a groundskeeper shouts: 'Dinnae drink tho waater! Et's Joo ae coo's shite an pish!'

The golfer replies: 'My Good fellow, I'm from England. Could you repeat that for me, in English!?'
