One of the Cooroy Women’s Division 2 Pennant teams, Cooroy 1 hosted pennants at Cooroy today. Thanks to early communication between our Women’s Captain, Terri and the Zone Pennant Co-ordinator, it was decided yesterday that Holes 2 and 16 would be out of play because of their very wet condition.  With no carts allowed on the course, teams scrambled to find players who would walk.  All survived, but there were some very exhausted players at the end of the day.  Many thanks to all who helped in the organising, setting up, and running of the event. The visitors agreed that Cooroy had excelled itself in its hospitality.  Cooroy 1 had a bye.

Cooroy 1 Captain – Assunta Easton

Cooroy 2 had a great win with 5 points against Gympie. There was great sportsmanship between the two teams and not a little rivalry.  At the end of Round 2, Cooroy 2 leads overall by 2 points.

Cooroy 2 Captain – Chris Michael

Division 3 Played at Bribie Island against Noosa.  The course was in fabulous condition and the run was appreciated.  Unfortunately Cooroy lost to Noosa, winning 2 points to Noosa’s 4.  Next week, the team travels to Beerwah to play Caboolture.
