Overview | Background/context: The Greens Committee (with input from the Men’s Captain, Cyril Trist) has identified overhanging branches unfairly impacting on shots played from tees. Some have been removed in-house, but for safety reasons, higher branches require professional operators. The target high branches are on trees on 1st, 2nd, 5th (near tee), 15th and 18th. The work is packaged as a one-off exercise as this is more likely to be cost effective and attractive to a professional service provider . In view of the need to engage external professionals, with the associated cost, the work is created as a Project. The first step is to gain authorisation from the Management Committee to move from a LISTED Project to the INITIATION stage. Initiation involves for example: (1) Feasibility assessment, (2) Scoping, (3) Detailed Costing, (4) Timeline, (5) Risk identification, (7) Expertise/Resourcing and (8) post project Maintenance requirements – at the end of this exercise a Priority is proposed by staff/volunteers involved in initiation. NOTE: At this stage in the process there is NO APPROVAL for the project to proceed it is simply putting together the information needed to make an informed decision about priority and approval for the Project to go ahead. Once completed, information from the Initiation stage feeds into Project Approval Considerations by the Cooroy Golf Club Management Committee. Formal Management Committee authorisation is required before the project can proceed to implementation. Objective: To be completed in initiation phase. Target Outcome: To be completed in Initiation stage |
