Week Ending 21st May 2016

Hi reader,

7 months into our 2016 Financial Year we are showing a $431.49 profit with a cash balance in our bank account of $8,809.72.   Rounds played are around 15% higher compared to the corresponding period last year although April numbers were down significantly.  A more detailed update will be provided separately to members.

Cooroy Golf Club has advised that, effective from 1st July 2016, Green Fees will increase by $1.00 to $7.00.  In view of our financial position the Vets committee has decided to carry this increase and maintain our Competition Fee at $12.00 until 31st December 2016.  The position will be reviewed again prior to the start of the 2017 season but you should assume there will be an increase in Competition Fee next year.

We have also been advised that our shot gun starts at Cooroy will be limited to 12 across our Vets Competition and Events Program in 2017.  This restriction will force a radical rethink as we prepare our 2017 Program over the next few months.  In the meantime we will continue discussions with The Club with a view to ensuring the objectives of both parties can be achieved.
