19th June, 2019

Hi reader,

Issue No 4 of our In The Rough newsletter will now be published in the 2nd half of November so that it can include information from the Cooroy Golf Club AGM due to be held on 18th November 2015 and also provide an update on what's happening over the Xmas holiday period.

I've started receiving useful feedback on our Saturday Men's Competition - thank you.  If you are a new or existing member looking to ease your way into competition golf but are a little apprehensive about playing in a Saturday Competition don't be - we can accommodate you.  Come and see me and I'll arrange for you to play in a friendly group who will help make the transition quite enjoyable.  We want you to become a 'Saturday Regular' and it will improve your golf.

We are looking for Sponsors for our Saturday Men's competition.  If you know any organisation, business or individual who might be interested in sponsoring a Nearest The Pin, for example, let me know.  There are a variety of sponsorship recognition options available such as redeemable business vouchers, mention in our email newsletters and Posts on the website and promotion on a Saturday.

A new Green Keeper started last week.  This will assist with the course maintenance workload and allow progressive top dressing of tees to get under way again shortly.  We will introduce you to the new Green Keeper in the next issue of In The Rough.

I'm pleased to be able to report that numbers for our Friday Coopers Challenge competition are increasing - give it a try!

The Cooroy Golf Club NEWS UPDATE is our weekly wrap of results, what's happening and news from around the traps.  Click on 'Read more' at the end of each Post excerpt below to read the full article.

There are currently around 250 subscribers to NEWS UPDATE.  A good result but still quite a way short of potential subscriber numbers.  If you enjoy reading this weekly update spread the word to club members who haven't subscribed yet.  You can subscribe through our website or send a request to subscribe to Rod Booth - vets@cooroygolf.com.au.

Cheers
