Hi reader,

Work hard during the week play hard on Saturday - Golf!

This has been a golfing tradition for years but field numbers for our Saturday Men have been well down for some time now and are not improving.

Of course the world is changing, in many respects quite rapidly, so we are planning a complete review of our Saturday Golf set up with input from members.

We want to know your expectations, criticisms and suggestions for improvement.

To this end we are putting together a Saturday Golf Questionnaire which will be made available to members in the near future.

In the meantime if you have any immediate feedback feel free to email me by replying to this email or speak to me next time you are in the club house.

Work scarifying the greens is now complete.  Although this brought with it some temporary putting irregularities, and a useful excuse for poor putting, we should see immediate improvement with the warmer weather and a little rain helping the greens to grow out.

The next step is coring which will get under way on 9th November.

The Cooroy Golf Club News Update is our weekly wrap of results, what's happening and news from around the traps. . Click on 'Read more' at the end of each Post excerpt below to read the full article.

Well timed Scarification can promote healthy growth, tackle disease (help prevent fungal diseases) and make the turf less susceptible to attack by pests and also help reduce localised …
