Week Ending 6th May 2017

---

Hi reader,

We are pleased to advise that with the exception of our Host Day on Monday, 22nd May, all future shotgun starts will be 8:00 am rather than 8:30 am.

This is our preferred shotgun start time and has the additional benefit of allowing social visitors onto the course a little earlier on Wednesdays.

A reminder that we are now on Winter start times with time starts from 7:00 am.

Another great days’ golf on Tuesday after an early morning scenic drive to Maleny.

A Maleny member collected the major prize with a very impressive with 48 points.  However, the Cooroy contingent held its own with some good results: Greg Michael 38, Jason Egan 34 and Aileen Morton 33NTP’s went to Chris Michael, Brian Stephan and Don Clelland.

We enjoyed a sausage sizzle, lots of laughs and to show how much we enjoyed the day, we left a few things there – Grant’s car keys, Terry Lyon’s favourite hat and a ball or two from the rest of us.  The good news is Grant’s car keys were found on the 2nd fairway but sadly, Terry’s hat is given up as lost. The balls were a donation.

Not sure why, but our numbers were down on Wednesday.  However, that didn't detract from some good scores with Peter Fryer taking out A Grade with 64, Paddy Knapp B Grade with 63 and Glen Johnstone C Grade with 64.

And, we almost had a "3pete" for Best Gross with Peter Fryer 73, Peter Kennedy 78 and John Stewart 80.
