Week Ending 11th February 2017

Hi reader,

We hosted 27 Vets from Pelican Waters on Monday on another hot and humid day at Cooroy.  The very dry course didn't seem to phase Kevin Olsen, Mick McGreal or Nick Kostalas, each carding 44 points.  The honours were evenly shared between the clubs, well reasonably evenly shared, well actually Cooroy won the day.  Thanks to Wayne for the hamburger lunch which went down very well and for making sure the clubhouse was nice and cool when players returned from their round.

Congratulations to Jim Prendergast and Dennis Beckhaus for taking out the American Foursome on Wednesday with a very good 54.  Jim had a good couple of days of golf taking out Runner Up in C Grade on Monday's Host day.  Thanks to Tony Foster for sponsoring the event.

A reminder that nominations for Mt Coolum close tomorrow evening.  Click the following link for the list of nominations - Mt Coolum List of Nominations.  Note - single players have been paired up.

Next Wednesday is a 'Red Course' day with all play off the Red Tees to test your club selection.  It is an 8:00 am shotgun start and also a day we ask members to thank our member prize donors.  We can't say it often enough, but it is through these donations that we can offer the prize levels that we do and provide extra benefits to members such as sausage sizzles, Marty's Hut, etc.

The on-line nomination facility for our visit to Tin Can Bay on Tuesday, 7th March 2017 is now open. Click on the following link.
