RESULTS of 2018 VETS AGM
The Minutes and Report Package from our 2018 Vets AGM are available in the Post below. Congratulations to the committee for taking on another year.
Welcome aboard to new committee member, Ken McKay. Ken passed his apprenticeship in the starters box with flying colours and is a welcome addition to the committee. Ken will find out about the pay when he gets his first payslip!
To all our members, thank you for your support during 2018 and demonstrating once again in the most positive way that being a member of the vets is not just about playing golf.
As last week was our final hamburger/sausage sizzle type event for 2018 thanks to Vice Captain and Chief Providor, Jim Henderson and wife Rose, for their tireless efforts in keeping our catering box well stocked and ensuring the best ingredients are supplied for our catering events. Thank you also to all those who assisted with the preparations for these events and on host days at Cooroy.

And, the Captains Shirt Hiccup has been successfully resolved. Grant has been fully compensated, prostate cancer research will benefit from the surplus added to our fundraising donation and quite a few of us have more Vets logo shirts than we will ever need. Regular visitors, the 'Nudgee Boys' from Nudgee Golf Club in Brisbane, also purchased Vets logo shirt with a Hay-Shed Cup logo added to wear on their annual golf trip to Tasmania. A great promo for Cooroy.

WEDNESDAY
It was great to see our Wednesday field back over 80 (83). Thanks to our member sponsors, Kevin Crundall, Rod Roemermann and Mike Miklenda.
Jim Gregg and Phil Mason narrowly took out the 2 Man Ambrose from Mike Smith and Andrew Dick with Roman Pajak and Peter Buchbach taking 3rd place.
You might notice we haven't posted the winner of the 15th NTP; it's still in Dale Rickard's golf cart! If Dale's name is on it there might need to be an inquiry.

VISIT TO MT COOLUM
Excellent results for the 'men in green' from our visit to Mt Coolum, particularly with a field of 140. Graham's 48 and Derek's 44 were exceptional. Andy Stewart's bionic back looks to be holding up well.
Andy Stewart 41 - 3rd place A Grade Graham Laing 48 - Winner B Grade Jason Egan 42 - 3rd Place B Grade
Derek Wood 44 - Runner Up C Grade Jim Henderson 41 - Runner Up D Grade
Derek Wood also collected a NTP on 12th.
From all accounts Dale Rickard’s ‘fog machine’ (aka golf cart) would have come in handy to intimidate the hoards of marauding mosquitoes on the course.
