We were blessed with fine weather, and a large field of 96 players took part in the 1st Round of the Vets Championships. Thank you to our sponsors of the day, The Sultans of Swing, aka Derek Clayton and Ron Blount.

What's Coming Up
Wednesday, 3rd of September: Is a Stroke Round and the 2nd and Final Round of the Vets Championships. This will be run in conjunction with the September Monthly Medal. All of our monthly medals are sponsored by The Bush Boys, consisting of Jim Gregg, Glen Johnstone, Bruce Wilshire, Dennis Beckhaus, Phil Mason, Con Russell, Kevin Crundall, Gary Webster, Grant Smallacombe, Phil Thompson, Tim Rutledge and Campbell Corfe.

The day will also be marked by Con Russell's last game with us. Con has been a very popular club member and is relocating to Brisbane, and is welcome to visit us any time that suits.

We host Headland on Monday, 13th October.
|
We host Maroochy River and Peregian Springs on Monday, the 13th of Oct. We travel to Noosa on Wednesday, November 12th.
|
Leaders in the "Jim Penman Host Day Trophy" are Tony Watson (293), Dave Lyons (282), and Tina Thomas (282) with the most points.

What's Coming Up
|
Thursday, 25th September: Medley Team Irish Stableford at Gympie. We can send 3 teams of 4 players. The sheet and details are on display near the Vets' noticeboard. Please note payment instructions: The entry fee must be paid in advance to the Cooroy Veterans' Golf Club account - BSB 633 000 Account # 210 827 838, Reference - Player's name or by cash to the Vets starter.
