Ron Ballantyne’s 25 points have him winning round one of the Old Course Challenge. Ron will receive a $50 CGC Voucher for his effort. The next best scores were Graham Laing 21 and Mike Kent 20. Last year's winner, Gary Menyweather, has a job in front of him if he is to retain the trophy.

What's Coming Up
Wednesday, 23rd July
The 2nd round of 'The Old Course Challenge'. Handicaps are frozen over the 2 weeks for this competition but will not be the case for the main 18-hole competition.

Cooroy Vets Championship
The 2025 Championships will be held over a 2-week period commencing on the 27th August with the 2nd round held on the 3rd September.

HOST DAY PROGRAM
Our trip to Gympie produced little success. However, Shay Zulpo came 3rd in C Grade with 33 points. The rundown went to 31 c/b, and 8 of our players featured. Tina Thomas, Tony Watson, 35 points, Mike Kent, Dave Lyons, 34 points, all did well, and these scores will no doubt be of great value in the 'Jim Penman Host Day Trophy'. We had good feedback from our players on the condition of the Gympie course.

What's Coming Up
On Friday, 8th August, we travel to Caloundra. It is a time start, with Cooroy allocated 24 spots, ranging from 8:32 am to 10:00 am. The sheet is on display near the Vets' pinup board and is filling quickly. There is room for reserves, and they will be allocated a spot (in order) if one becomes available.
